CBF2012:

The 2nd Annual Canadian Basketball Festival (CBF2012) is once again being held at the Durham College/UOIT Campus Recreation Centre – Oshawa, Ontario, Saturday July 28th and Sunday July 29th, 2012.  The 2-day event will feature basketball games and events for all levels of participation, from beginners to pros. This year’s format has expanded to 2 full days of “Celebration Through Participation” of Canadian basketball. Players of all levels can take part in the ABA-Canada 3on3 tournaments (19 & Under) with recreational and competitive divisions, as well as standard team tournaments, with divisions for Men and Women (19+) as well as Masters (35+).

‘TOP-12’ Sr. Men’s Championship:

The highlight of the CBF2012 will be the Inaugural ABA-Canada ‘TOP-12′ National Invitational Tournament (NIT), featuring elite Sr. Men’s basketball teams representing cities/regions/clubs from across Ontario and Canada.  Team rosters will showcase many of Canada’s top players from the past, present and future. Established Sr. Men’s teams will be invited to participate in the NIT Championship while other teams will have the opportunity to compete for a “TOP-12” spot through, ABA-Canada sanctioned, Regional Qualification Tournaments (RQT’s) starting the first weekend in May 2012.  Winners of RQT’s will be invited to participate in this unprecedented opportunity to compete for a Sr. Men’s National Championship.
